The Food That Kills Testosterone

Testosterone is vital to your health as you grow older. It has a very significant effect on your libido, energy, stamina, strength, mood, muscle tone, and body fat. It also provides important health benefits you may not outwardly notice, such as increased bone density, improved immune system function, better blood circulation, lower blood sugar, and lower LDL cholesterol. Healthy testosterone is key to good health and longevity. (1, 2)

But one food destroys Testosterone levels, and you probably eat it every day.

According to a study at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, sugar decreases Testosterone by as much as 25%! This significant decline happens regardless of whether the person has normal glucose tolerance, is pre-diabetic, or has diabetes. (3)

Of the men who started the experiment with normal Testosterone levels, 15% of them ended up with Low T during the experiment, meaning their testosterone levels were so low that it would require taking the hormone to raise them to acceptable levels.

A diet high in sugary foods means you could have chronically low testosterone. Major sources of added sugar in the U.S. diet are: soft drinks and fruit drinks; candy, desserts (cakes, cookies, pies, etc.); dairy desserts (ice cream, sweetened milks and yogurts); processed and prepared foods; and simple carbs such as white bread. (4)

This holiday season, you can leave the candy to the neighbors -- when you have a craving for sweets, reach for seasonal fruit instead (try apples, blackberries, grapes, and oranges in the fall). Fresh fruit is naturally sweet and loaded with fiber, vitamins, and minerals necessary for optimal health.

If you want to protect your testosterone and significantly reduce your risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, cancer, hormonal problems, and obesity, then cut the refined sugar from your diet. Save your testosterone production and save your health! (1, 2)
