How Certain Foods Can Lower Testosterone

Do you know how your apples were treated? And those potatoes on your plate, how were they grown before they became part of your dinner?

If your fruit and veggies were treated with pesticides, they may be lowering your T levels.

Studies show that men with the most pesticide byproducts in their systems have 10% less testosterone than men with the least pesticides. And sexual abnormalities in animals have been linked to the pesticide residue that is washed down streams from farms. (1)

In addition to being linked to neurological problems and certain cancers, pesticides are endocrine disruptors, meaning they change the way hormones are used and made in your body. (2)

How to Lower Exposure

The easiest way to reduce your exposure is to eat organic food when you can. But if your food budget is tight, choose conventionally grown foods known to have the least amount of pesticide residue, and avoid those with the most.

How do you know which foods are which? Each year, the Environmental Working Group tests produce for pesticide residue, and in 2017 found that the "Dirty Dozen" includes strawberries, spinach, nectarines, apples, peaches, celery, grapes, pears, cherries, tomatoes, sweet bell peppers and potatoes -- avoid these foods if they are "conventional," or treated with pesticides.

This year's "Clean 15" includes sweet corn, avocados, pineapples, cabbage, onions, frozen sweet peas, papayas, asparagus, mangoes, eggplant, honeydew melon, kiwis, cantaloupe, cauliflower and grapefruit -- these foods had the least amount of detectable pesticides when grown conventionally. Be sure to check back as this list can change from year to year. (3)

Although pesticides may be difficult to avoid completely, Andro400 can help increase your testosterone despite your exposure. When you boost your T levels with Andro400, you will be able to more fully experience the health benefits of natural testosterone that pesticides may be taking away -- such as improved mood, memory, and immune system, and more energy, strength, and stamina.
